With double the resolution of the Vive Pro, and a higher resolution than the Pimax 5K+, this is the clearest VR headset yet (nearly 10 times higher than the first headset we rented back in 2013, and 2.5 times than Oculus Rift S). As Tested.com said, the resolution "is definitively noticeably better than any headset I’ve tried, Including the Pimax". Plus, with no external sensors needed, it's also super simple to setup! Four built-in cameras track the movement of you and your two controllers.
Compared with the original HP Reverb, the new lenses on the G2 make the visuals even sharper, and physical IPD adjustment means you can slide the lenses closer or further apart to suit your eyes better. The built-in headphones are upgraded too, using the same off-ear high end headphones as the Valve Index uses. For improved tracking, there are now 4 cameras on the headset, and the controllers are updated to be very similar to the popular Oculus Rift S controllers. Lastly, with a longer 6 meter cable, you can go further than other headsets.
The incredible high resolution makes this ideal for Flight Simulation and Racing games, but now with even better controllers and tracking, it's a great way to enjoy all the other VR games with a whole new clarity.

We use Courier Post to send the HP Reverb G2 to you anywhere in New Zealand, and send you easy to follow instructions on how to set everything up. If you need a gaming desktop PC too, we also rent those.
Included in the package is a prepaid return label, so on the last day of the rental you can drop that off at your local post office, they'll scan it and return it to us. More information can also be seen in our how VR Rentals Work page.
The recommended system requirements for the headset include:
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 / RTX 2070 or greater / Nvidia Quadro P5200 or greater / AMD Radeon Pro WX 8200 or greater. It will run on a GTX 1070 rendering at a slightly lower resolution, and then upscaling it.
CPU: Intel i7 / Intel Xeon E3-1240 v5 equivalent or better
RAM: 16 GB or more
Hard Drive: 30 GB or more of free space
Video Output: DisplayPort 1.3 or higher
Other Connections: 1x USB port at least USB C or USB 3.0
Operating System: Windows 10 '1809 Update' or later (free update for Windows 10)
Extra Requirements: You will need administrator access rights on your PC to use the VR headset. If you're using a work supplied PC, please check with your IT department that you have administrator rights.
Note: The Reverb is recommended for indoor use, and requires clear details the camera can lock onto (e.g. not an empty room with blank walls or in a dark environment). We cannot guarantee the tracking will work outdoors, and use outdoors poses huge risk to light damaging the screens.
Aside from the gear we provide, you may need a desktop PC. If you don't have a suitable PC, we also rent those, but you will get the best experience from an even higher power desktop of your own. You just need a monitor or a TV with an HDMI input (almost any TV in the past 10 years, and most monitors).
